First Trip to Windsor, NC

January 24th was my first visit to Windsor.  Dr. Schneider,  David Hodges, the EC scholars, and myself traveled together to Windsor and met with with Mayor Hoggard, the Town Manager Alan Castelloe, the Marketing Coordinator Mr. Smithwick, and town council member Cathy Wilson. After introducing ourselves and discussing the project we then proceeded to take a brief tour of the Elm Street Campground and the town before lunch. After the tour we then had steamed oysters and lunch with the council and community stakeholders at the Thompson Hunting Lodge. Everyone had a great time. I never knew that oysters could have small crabs inside them. After some convincing from David Hodges and others I finally tried one. I have to say it was pretty good!
